On this tour, you will be able to visit the destinations in northern Tanzania. The parks involved will be able to visit Arusha National Park, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, lake eyasi, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti, and Lake Natron.
Witness the elephants & ancient baobab trees in Tarangire, meet the nomadic Maasai tribe, travel the endless plains of the world-famous Serengeti, search for the elusive Big 5 in the Ngorongoro Crater, join the Hadazbe Bush People as they go hunting & gathering, spot the tree climbing lions in Lake Manyara & enjoy the hospitality of a lodge & the romance of a tented camp in the Tanzanian bush.
Day 1: Arusha National Park
In the morning after breakfast, your driver will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha and drive to Arusha National Park for walking Safari. You will be accompanied by Armed Ranger for your safety and for them to give you an explanation of anything you want to know more about this Park.
You will descend through Meru Crater. Attractions here include Ngarenanyuki River, the Uwanja wa Mbogo (Buffalo Glade); this is a natural glade that consists of marsh, bushes and streams. The Fauna here includes; buffaloes, warthogs, giraffes. Break off for a 20 min then you will continue with the nature walking through the MomellaTululusia Waterfall trail.
Please note that this itinerary gives you two options, you can choose to do a walking safari, or game driving safari in Arusha NP.
You will stay at the hotel or lodge in Arusha for your overnight.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, Drive to Tarangire National Park. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa.
You will stay at the camp or lodge of your overnight.
Day 3: Full day in Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park has the highest population density of elephants than anywhere in Tanzania. Its sparse vegetation, strewn with huge diameter baobabs and acacia trees, makes it a beautiful and special location. Before the rains, droves of gazelle, wildebeest, zebra, and giraffes migrate to Tarangire National Park scrub plains where the last grazing lands still remain. The landscape is awesome here from every corner of the Park.
Day 4: Tarangire National Park to Lake Manyara National Park overnight Lake Eyasi
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, The park is famous for its tree climbing lions and flamingos, other wildlife such as elephants, giraffe, impala, baboon, zebra present in the park. Enroute game drive with picnic lunch, later evening drive for Dinner and overnight at the campsite in Lake Eyasi.
Day 5: Activities in Lake Eyasi
We start the tour early with your bushman guide to meet a group of resident Hadzabe people. Enjoy the Hadzabe Tour walking into the bush with the only hunter-gatherers remaining in the East African region. The Hadzabe speak a click-based language and move their encampments with the seasonal movements of the wildlife. Your guide is a member of the group so he will explain to you about their customs and their way of life. You will get a chance to hunt, track wildlife, make fire and even take honey from bee’s nests with the Hadzabe people.
Day 6: Lake Eyasi to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro crater, descend the crater 610metres deep for classic wildlife encounter, Breathtaking views of the crater and abundance wildlife viewing. Predators such as cheetah, lions, leopard, hyena and many other animals to be seen. Picnic lunch at Hippo Pool. Later evening drive to Campsite or Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast you will head off to Serengeti National Park, viewing wildlife on the way. Arrival at Serengeti and proceed with the game drive. (be prepared for the noises of zebras, maybe even elephants, walking through camp at night).
After the game drive, you will go to your camp or lodge for overnight.
Day 8: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, drive for full day game viewing. Serengeti is the vast Tanzanian landscape that hosts one of earth’s last remaining wildlife spectacles: The annual Great Migration. This is when a staggering number of herbivores trek across the Serengeti plains in search of water and fresh grass, with hungry predators following in their wake. The Serengeti the name derives from Maasai language Siringeti which means endless plains provide an exceptional landscape for wildlife viewing; it truly is ultimate safari country.
Day 9: Serengeti National Park to Lake Natron
We leave the camp after a hot brunch to continue exploring the Northern Serengeti Corridor (Lobo and Kogatende Areas) as we heading towards Lake Natron. There are rugged mountains where vultures soar and baboons bark, dusty gorges where the Maasai bring their cattle to drink and endless grassy plains. Arrive at Lake Natron in the evening approximately around 4:30 pm, get some drinks (coffee), while having trek briefing. After the briefing, we will rest in the camp while a chef prepares a dinner. After dinner enjoys the cool atmosphere of the camp and at 10 pm start trekking; this usually takes 6-7hrs, After watching the sunrise, start descending down around 9 am. The jeep will be waiting for you at the bottom of the mountain to drive you back to the camp for resting.
Day 10: Activities in Lake Natron
Night ascent & dawn summit bid, Ol doinyo Lengai Mountain (seismic conditions permitting). Optional waterfall hike and swim.
Go for evening lake Natron walk for sunset if time permits. You will have early dinner and sleep read for night summit at Odoinyo Lengai Mountain.
Day 11: Lake Natron to Arusha
After breakfast, drive to Arusha for airport drop off or overnight. ( Extra cost for the overnight accommodation)
